What the job involves
- The Honest Company is seeking an Associate Brand Manager to join our team
- You will develop skills in brand management by partnering with cross-functional teams across sales, creative, and product development to bring brand innovation and campaigns to life
- You can expect to be an owner of your business, leading key initiatives and day-to-day operations, as well as achieving the financial targets of our Baby Operating Unit
- Watch as your consumer-first strategies become a reality!
- Analyze the current product assortment to identify opportunities and make strategic decisions to optimize selection, improve profitability, and align with market demand
- Showcase a genuine passion for the personal care industry by understanding consumer needs, emerging trends, and innovative product solutions
- Lead new product launches and development, collaborating with cross-functional partners from ideation to commercialization
- Conduct in-depth analysis of category landscapes and consumer insights to provide actionable recommendations that drive business impact
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure exceptional DTC and retail execution
- Contribute to innovation and product sell-in strategies with compelling consumer stories, product positioning, and 360 marketing support
- Support portfolio brand and communication strategies, including the development of a 3-year innovation roadmap
Our take
Honest sells clean, sustainable, well-designed products with a focus on health, wellness and the mother and baby market. Driven by a responsibility to people and the planet - and responding to consumer calls for sustainability - the company champions diverse, inclusive and ethical practices such as label transparency and 100% recycled packaging.
Although the company has seen successes, and went public in 2021, it also experienced a slew of class action lawsuits over potentially harmful ingredients, in strange and stark contrast to the safe products it intended to sell. Many of its offerings have since been reformulated, and the company itself has restructured its strategy, seeming to put it back on good footing despite the rocky road at its back.
