Our take

Most would argue that the best advocates for a product are existing customers. Sometimes these customers can be incentivised to refer/sell the products they love.

Pollen (rebranded from the name Verve) has done just that, creating a platform to allow brands to provide various rewards for customers who help promote events. It is providing the infrastructure to make word-of-mouth marketing more scalable.

Pollen has been known best for providing access to music concerts, club nights and one-off experiences. The company went through a rough patch like all travel-based companies during the pandemic, but have just raised a large round of funding which they’re going to be using to expand more deeply in their current verticals, but also sports and travel, for example beach holidays, city breaks, ski trips and festivals.
