Role
Who you are
- In depth understanding of building enterprise applications with Angular using OOP techniques
- Strong CSS and HTML skills
- Experience with C# and Dot Net
- You are used to working closely with customers to understand their needs and the requirements of the work they have asked for
- Passionate about your craft as a Software Engineer but are pragmatic with engineering trade-offs
- You write clean, testable code and have a good understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles
- You will have lead a team and mentored junior employees on best practices
- You will have worked in an environment that uses SCRUM
- Ideally you will have previously worked in a hyper growth environment where things change quickly
- A calm and patient personality – due to our rapid growth, we are still ironing out our processes
- Ability to pick things up quickly and a desire to constantly improve your skills
What the job involves
- We are looking for a passionate, pragmatic software engineer that specialises in Angular
- As an engineer, it’s an exciting place to work, we use a modern tech stack including Angular, C#, .NET 6, Akka.NET and MongoDB
- We run on AWS using an event sourced microservices architecture. As a team we are always looking for better ways to do things, whether that’s with newer technologies or by using different techniques
- We believe that the future of financial services will be delivered by customer-oriented tech companies that embed financing in their customer journeys, and we are building the solutions that will power that future

YouLend has benefited from the boom in the financial services industry, but this also means the company has had to compete with a number of other embedded finance startups, such as Weavr. Despite this, YouLend's focus on online merchants has allowed it to remain competitive in its offering. What's more, the company's revenue-based repayments system differentiates its solution from more established loan options.
YouLend's flexibility and the speed with which merchants can obtain funding has allowed it to gain a foothold in the growing embedded finance market. However, it will need to focus on growing its customer base even further if it wants to scale in this competitive space.
