Who you are
- 8+ years of experience in IT Engineering, Senior System Administration, or similar
- Experience with REST API integrations is a must have
- Experience using low code/no code integration and automation platforms such as Okta Advanced workflows, Zapier, Workato, etc
- Working knowledge of Python, especially around handling web requests, JSON data parsing
- Expert-level knowledge of industry-standard tool stacks (GWS, Microsoft, IAM tools, HRIS platforms, ERPs, SaaS management platforms, etc.)
- Proven track record of implementing complex technical solutions to optimize business processes
- Experience in managing Atlassian cloud platform - Jira and Confluence
- Capable of quickly and independently learning and adapting to a rapidly changing technology environment
- Ability to operate both autonomously and as a part of a team
Desirable
- Background in software development
- Knowledge of database-driven ERP systems, especially Netsuite
- Knowledge of Amazon cloud compute and storage
- Knowledge of Palantir Foundry
- Experience with Python
- Experience with node.js, Java, and JavaScript
- Prior experience with DevOps/Cloud Infra management - familiarity with IaaC tools, CI/CD tools and processes, Git code repositories, etc (Github, Jenkins, Terraform, Harness, or similar)
- Prior experience working within cybersecurity compliance frameworks and audits (ISO27001, CMMC, Fedramp, or similar)
- Experience managing enterprise networks (DNS, DHCP, SSL, IPSEC, TCP/IP troubleshooting)
- Advanced macOS and Windows scripting knowledge and prior experience creating management scripts for various OSes
- Prior experience managing Linux systems, especially in endpoint use cases
What the job involves
- ICON is looking for a Senior IT Solutions Engineer I to join the Digital Infrastructure department and provide technical leadership and expertise across the whole organization
- As a Senior IT Solutions Engineer, you will be working closely with IT Operations, Human Resources, Cyber Security, Software Products, and Data Strategy teams to bring innovation and efficiency to our business processes
- Success will require developing and deploying technical solutions across the whole organization, tailored to specific challenges and requirements of ICON’s entire digital footprint, especially related to business intelligence and enterprise resource planning
- As a senior member of the Corporate IT team, you will be expected to work independently and collaborate with business area leaders and senior technical experts from various teams and deliver quick and impactful results in a high-paced startup environment
- This role reports to the Manager of IT and is based on-site at our Austin, TX HQ Campus
- Define and implement automation strategies to drive business process efficiencies across different departments and functions
- Assist various functions across the organization in the technical management of their business applications and tools
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in maturing existing enterprise applications and onboarding new services
- Build and maintain custom integrations based on industry-standard and custom APIs of various platforms and SaaS applications
- Act a key Subject Matter Expert (SME) for critical business, IT Operations, and Cyber security tools and applications
- Support IT Operations team with Tier3 escalations when needed
- Manage and build IT knowledge base - internal technical Runbooks, user guides, etc
- Build and develop internal competencies by providing mentoring and coaching to IT Operations team and other technical functions within the organization
- Though this is not primarily a help-desk role, it may require leaning in at times to assist with the full breadth of ICON IT tasks. (Everyone sweeps)

The sheer scale of what can be done with ICON’s technology is extraordinary, so much so the company has a contract with NASA to develop systems to build on the Moon and Mars. It also partners with large scale residential communities, not-for-profit housing, and works on special projects like rocket landing pads. These are undoubtedly exciting times for ICON and it’ll be very interesting to see what comes next for the company.
