Who you are
- Solid experience leading teams of highly skilled and self-organizing engineering teams
- Excellent technical skills on the .NET stack and Azure ecosystem
- Excellent people management and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong customer focus
- Experience working with agile variants and the ability to adapt processes to fit project needs
- Proficiency in using project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar
- Proven experience in a senior software engineering leadership role
- Strong understanding of Azure Cloud Services and architecture
- Proficiency in C#, SQL, and .NET technologies
- Experience with Azure Event Hub, WebJobs, and microservices-based applications
- Knowledge of application performance monitoring and logging using Datadog
- Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
- Ability to mentor, motivate, and inspire engineering teams
Desirable
- Experience managing distributed teams in a fast-paced environment
- Background in developing enterprise-scale applications
- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud-based applications

- Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development to a team of software engineers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Manage software engineering projects using Agile methodologies in JIRA and document knowledge in Confluence
- Promote effective communication and collaboration using tools like Slack
- Drive technical excellence across the team by providing architectural guidance and promoting best practices
- Oversee the development and deployment of cloud-native applications using Azure services including Event Hub, WebJobs, and related components
- Ensure application performance monitoring and reliability using Datadog
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on business goals and technical strategies
- Manage engineering deliverables, timelines, and budgets effectively
- Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement within the engineering team
- Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks to ensure project success
- Collaborate with the DevOps and SRE teams to enhance deployment processes and system reliability
- Establish and track KPIs to measure engineering team performance and product success
- Partner with stakeholders to define and prioritize the product roadmap and technical initiatives
- Manage resource planning and hiring to ensure the team has the necessary skills and capacity
