What the job involves
- Part of Strategic Sales and Analytics organization, this position focuses on driving analytics and strategic support to the SSA Reporting & Analytics Lead and providing proactive business insights
- This role will be responsible for crafting compelling sales performance insights, serve as the expert on performance, market trends, competitors performance monitoring and ensure the company is set to meet benchmarks at every account with each product
- This is an excellent position for a highly motivated team member who likes to work in a fast-paced environment and data driven atmosphere
- Drive actionable reporting to drive winning at each subcategory
- Serve as the data expert internally, generating and presenting actionable insights on pricing, promotional impacts, positioning, competitive landscape and market needs to develop comprehensive strategies
- Manage delivery of daily, weekly, monthly deliverables reporting on the health of the business
- Identify category gaps/opportunities, craft sales stories with strategic recommendations that differentiate SharkNinja from competitors, helping to increase distribution, space and displays
- Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial modeling, to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement
- Analyze key financial metrics and KPIs to provide insights into business drivers and performance trends
- Generate and distribute regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate financial performance and key insights to senior management and key stakeholders
- Develop and maintain reporting templates and dashboards to streamline reporting processes and enhance visibility into key performance metrics
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in performance reporting and analysis by maintaining robust data governance processes and controls
- Conduct ad-hoc data analysis as needed to support decision-making and address business inquiries
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, accounting, operations, and other departments to gather data, understand business drivers, and support decision-making
- Communicate financial insights and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders through presentations, reports, and meetings

SharkNinja has been in operation since 1994, which is testament to the quality and popularity of its products. Since its initial launch in Canada, the company has expanded into the US and the UK. In 2017 SharkNinja was bought by CDH Private Equity for over $1.5 Billion, further proof of its impressive market value. Perhaps more evidence is that it brings in annual revenues of around $4B.
SharkNinja’s main challenge is facing down big-name competitors such as home appliance giant Dyson. In fact, through innovative design, it seized the market-leading spot in traditional vacuums from Dyson and is only second to iRobot in sales of robotic models. A 2023 IPO saw an extra $296 million in funding added to SharkNinja's pot and was followed by product launches in new sectors such as air conditioning and food cooling, indicating that the company is still full of new product ideas.
