Role
Who you are
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing or manufacturing engineering, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in manufacturing processes, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and assembly line optimization
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proven track record of solving complex production issues
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team to achieve ambitious goals
- Ability to be in the office 4-5 days per week
- NOTE: Must be able to travel up to 25%. Travel will mainly be domestic, but may be overseas travel upwards of 3-5 times a year

What the job involves
- As a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, you'll be a key leader in our operations, responsible for the full lifecycle of our products
- You'll manage a team of engineers and collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of our manufacturing processes
- Lead and Mentor: Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of manufacturing engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
- Process Optimization: Drive the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, tools, and workflows to increase production output, reduce cycle times, and minimize defects
- New Product Introduction (NPI): Serve as a key technical lead for NPI, ensuring seamless and efficient transitions of new products from development to production. This includes leading DFM (Design for Manufacturability), DFA (Design for Assembly) and PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) initiatives
- Production Support: Provide hands-on technical support contract manufacturing production lines, quickly resolving issues and implementing robust corrective and preventive actions
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams in Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Software, Technical Service and Program Management to drive strategic initiatives and ensure alignment across the organization
- Data Analysis: Utilize data and analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve manufacturing operations
- Demonstrated results: Setting up and leading production of electromechanical contract manufacturing partners, domestic and international
Our take
Americans buy billions of water bottles per year, the manufacture of which uses millions of barrels of crude oil. This alone causes significant damage to the environment, before even considering the carbon impact of delivery or the plastic waste produced. Bevi hopes to change this with its smart beverage-dispensing machine that only requires a tap water source to function.
Bevi’s dispensers allow users to customise their drinks, check nutrition information and track the environmental impact of their usage. With the ability to carbonate beverages as well as flavour them with natural essences, and even some caffeine and electrolytes if one wishes, Bevi has created a versatile hydration system that caters to the modern consumer on both eco-conscious and personal taste levels.
This simple and effective hydration system has become popular across industries. Over 4000 companies, including Volkswagen, Netflix and Google, make use of Bevi machines. The company, though having to fight through some self-admittedly "frightening" times, has raised significant funding that will support its rapid growth and expansion into new verticals and products.
