What the job involves

The Samsara Investor Relations and Corporate Development teams focus on the strategy, analytics, and communication of company positioning with external stakeholders (investors and sell-side research) as well as M&A, corporate strategy, and venture investments
As an Investor Relations and Corporate Development Associate, you will be a critical member of the team defining strategy and building key external relationships
This position offers significant exposure to both Samsara’s C-suite and start-up CEOs and will play a meaningful role in advancing our financial and corporate development initiatives in the years ahead
Partner with internal stakeholders to build core investor materials (quarterly shareholder letter, investor presentation, and earnings script) and prepare investor day presentation
Collect and analyze information (business and financial) that will inform our narrative to investors and analysts
Collaborate with Strategic Finance, FP&A, Legal, Comms, and Marketing to gather information related to quarterly financial performance and ensure accuracy of figures and alignment of external messaging
Monitor and internally summarize industry trends and peers’ commentary and financial results by continuously tracking sell-side research, financial news, and transcripts
Support the execution of corporate-level strategic transactions from initial strategy development through deal execution by sourcing, performing due diligence, building financial analyses and models, and assisting in closing and integration activities
Establish a robust understanding of industry trends, market participants, and competitive dynamics in the experience management and enterprise software markets
Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
