Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, managing and developing solutions for cloud platforms and automation
- Deep knowledge of at least one cloud platform - AWS, GCP or Azure
- Expertise in automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet or Terraform
- Experience with cybersecurity, including the design, development, implementation or governance of cybersecurity solutions
- GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in a programming language, e.g. Rust, Python, Java, C++
- Experience working with developers, security and IT staff as a customer
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL or other relational/non-relational databases
- Conceptual knowledge of encryption algorithms
- Concepts about agile methodologies including Kanban, Scrum, etc
- Highly organised and thorough with critical attention to detail and documentation
- Thrive in a fast-paced, quick decision, collaborative team of bright people striving to make the world a safer place
- Experience with release packaging and delivery

What the job involves
- You will take part in exciting projects, solving challenges to create the safest and user-friendliest data security solutions on the market. We are looking for someone who thinks outside the box, challenges the norm and brings creativity, innovation and imagination to the team
- Design, build and maintain the company’s cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Develop and implement automation scripts using tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and Terraform
- Manage and monitor cloud-based applications and services to ensure they are performing optimally and meeting service level agreements (SLAs)
- Contribute to the long-term direction and standards for technical solutions, ensuring they align to the overall enterprise architecture
- Provide security standards and recommendations to prevent security threats for projects with high level of complexity
- Work closely with software engineers from various teams within the company to ensure hardware and computing resources are available and working properly
- Install, configure and maintain containerized testing and proof-of-concept environments
- Work at the edge of, develop and improve technological standards, tooling, and processes across the company
Our take
While most sensitive data used by business is encrypted, it almost always has to be decrypted into plain text at the point of use. This creates a weak point: if a data breach occurs all the decrypted data in use is easily readable by cybercriminals. Vaultree exists to solve this problem, providing an in-use encryption SDK which allows encryption at all times, even when data is in use, with no reduction in processing times.
The market for this form of encryption is rapidly growing, and is estimated to be worth $300 million by 2030. Vaultree faces rivals such as Ravel and Duality which also offer in-use encryption. However Vaultree's performance is higher than the industry average, and Vaultree offers the only truly end-to-end solution which encrypts data in rest or in transit as well as while it is being used.
Vaultree has recently closed a Series A fundraising round led by Molten Ventures and Ten Eleven Ventures. This investment will be used to develop the product, improving its existing features and support for more integrations. It is also hiring globally, aiming to scale the company's operations worldwide.
