What the job involves
- As a People Business Partner supporting our Data Center teams, you’ll be both hands-on and strategic—able to roll up your sleeves to address immediate needs while shaping initiatives that drive long-term organizational effectiveness, engagement, and growth
- You’ll partner closely with leaders, managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to align our People strategy with business priorities, and you’ll use data to inform impactful decisions
- This role requires regular travel to our data centers in the region to build strong, in-person relationships and maintain a deep understanding of on-the-ground operations
- You'll be the strategic builder who shapes and delivers initiatives focused on organizational effectiveness and fostering employee engagement
- Your responsibilities will include aligning our People strategy with overarching business objectives, acting as a key partner to Data Center executives and senior leaders, and championing employee engagement efforts
- You’ll balance high-level strategic influence with the ability to be present in the field, understanding team needs firsthand
- Your impact will be felt across various dimensions:
- Strategic Partnership: Provide strategic and tactical guidance to Data Center leaders and people managers, leveraging your expertise to influence engagement, development, and retention strategies
- Building and Growing: Thrive in environments with minimal structure. You bring innovative ideas and the scrappiness to make them real
- Hands-On Execution: Regularly visit our data centers in the region to connect with leaders and employees directly, ensuring initiatives are grounded in operational realities
- Data-Driven Insights: Use data to identify trends and opportunities, guiding the design and implementation of impactful People projects and programs
- Change Management: Lead large-scale change initiatives in our dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring seamless transitions and organizational alignment
- Talent Management: Partner with department leaders to drive initiatives such as performance reviews and organizational design
- Employee Relations: Offer counsel and guidance on complex employee relations matters, fostering a culture of trust and transparency
- Collaboration: Partner closely with People Ops, Talent, and cross-functional teams to develop and deploy programs that empower our workforce
Our take
Many cloud service providers can suffer from slow prediction speeds when they are used for data modeling. CoreWeave solves this problem with its specialized cloud service provider.
CoreWeave reduces prediction times and makes service requests faster and more efficient. This, in turn, cuts cloud costs considerably. This has proven to be a strong draw for many companies, with CoreWeave signing a lucrative partnership with GPU heavyweight NVIDIA as well as partnering with BitOoda, which has allowed it to expand its operations to the financial market.
However, in 2023 it closed three very significant rounds of funding (Series B and debt and secondary extensions), which is being invested into expanding its US-based data centers, opening two new ones in the coming year. The question remains whether, despite 2023's big investments in the sector, CoreWeave can maintain this momentum and whether generative AI's stock will continue to rise.
