Who you are
- 3+ years of HR Business Partner experience, preferably with engineering client groups
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
- Experience across multiple HR/People channels such as compensation & benefits, compliance, employee relations, and learning and development
- Thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure, outcome-oriented environments
- Is a clear, empathetic, and effective communicator who understands differences in others and adjusts their approach accordingly
- Is an effective partner and coach to managers and leaders; delivers feedback and challenging information in a way that builds trust and collaboration
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of emotional intelligence
- Data-driven and detail-oriented
- U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
What the job involves
- In this role you will be responsible for thinking strategically and providing daily support across all levels of engineering teams
- The role involves partnering with our engineering teams to enhance talent development and performance at all levels of the team
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to business owners on people-related strategies and employee engagements
- Collaborate with senior leadership to build, develop, and execute people strategies through our next iteration of anticipated growth
- Coach and advise for best practices within the team
- Develop deep relationships and cultivate trust with all parts of the teams you’re supporting
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Coach Andurilans, functioning as an advocate and resource in resolving key employee issues while balancing the needs of the business
- Autonomously lead the design, implementation, and iteration of new people programs, as well as assess and improve current people programs
- Help build and improve processes in a dynamic and high-growth phase
- Lead high value talent calibrations and compensation planning
- Utilize people metrics to drive key insights and decisions around growth and retention
- Building data-drive and proactive processes to attract, grow and retain our talent
Our take
Anduril makes hardware and software for defense agencies including the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security. Its hardware products include specialist drones with a long flight time and surveillance towers.
This hardware is tied together by proprietary software, the Lattice platform, which uses sensor fusion, machine learning, and mesh networking to integrate real-time data from Anduril hardware and third-party systems into a single, autonomous operating picture. While the hardware observes and detects, the software can make decisions as to the threat level of any anomalies, and so allow for observation and protection of an area or building with minimal manpower.
Anduril closed a Series E funding round in 2022 led by Valor Equity Partners. This funding was used for research and development of its autonomous defense products, such as the Roadrunner, a modular twin-jet powered autonomous vehicle that can take off and land vertically. Variants of the Roadrunner include defensive warhead armed interceptors which are the first drone weapons that can be retrieved after deployment. The company has also expanded to Australia where it is working in tandem with the Australian Defence Force to improve its military technology and infrastructure and is recruiting talent worldwide to support its rapidly growing portfolio of defense projects.
