Who you are
- At least eight (8) years of software development experience
- At least two (2) years of software management experience

What the job involves
- The Sr. Manager of Software Engineering oversees and coordinates the people, resources, and processes required to deliver new software or upgrade existing products
- They achieve all or most of their goals through delegation to their team
- The Sr. Manager coaches and mentors their direct reports in a way that results in high growth
- They have a high amount of influence on their team as well as within their broader organization
- The Sr. Manager moves past being only tactical but is strategic in the way they run their team
- They command a high degree of trust and remove obstacles so that their team can attain optimal performance
- The Sr. Manager provides direct leadership in delivering critical or at-risk projects
- Strategically grow, manage, and develop a team highly skilled team of Software Engineers (e.g., hiring, mentoring, developing, giving performance reviews, giving feedback at weekly 1:1 meetings)
- Lead projects to completion
- Influence the team and broader organization by providing technical advice during the planning of complex solutions
- Document solutions so that information can be easily disseminated to the Engineering team
- Contribute to projects and software releases
- Coordinates and manages on-call rotations
