Role
Who you are
- Recruiting experience in one of the focus areas, ideally in high-growth tech companies (bonus points if they are known for their talent density)
- Proven success sourcing and hiring for service and/or operators roles, especially in high tech companies in the Bay Area and other competitive markets
- Experience in high volume hiring of hourly team members
- High agency, low ego. You operate autonomously, deliver results, and seek to improve everything you touch
- Creative mindset - you have the ability to question and rethink Talent processes in order to reach both high calibre candidates and hidden gems
Desirable
- Prior experience recruiting for the key areas from a hardware consumer tech company
- Technical background or education (e.g., CS degree, bootcamp, or hands-on project work)
- Experience with employer branding or talent marketing in deep tech spaces
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Recruiter, with experience hiring for Service and Operator teams
- In this role, you will do full cycle recruitment, working closely with the leaders of those departments, on finding and attracting the most exceptional candidates to join a category defining team
- Own full-cycle recruiting for roles in the service and operators teams
- Partner directly with the hiring managers to understand talent needs, craft job descriptions, and calibrate profiles
- Proactively source top-tier candidates through outbound outreach, networking, and events
- Drive and continuously refine a world-class candidate experience from first contact to onboarding
- Lead and optimize interview processes and scorecards for consistency and effectiveness
- Collaborate cross-functionally with People Operations and HR to improve recruiting tools and systems

- Hiring manager / senior team member / technical interview
- Team interviews - technical interviews and deep-dives with team members. May include a take home challenge, presentation or problem-solving exercise
- Technical deep-dive conversation with a team member
- Onsite interviews with team members
- Final stages - you move to the final round
- Expectation management with the hiring manager
- We will conduct reference checks

Our take
The field of robotics has advanced massively in the last few years, to the point where androids no longer belong to the realm of science fiction. 1X, formerly known as Halodi Robotics, is developing androids capable of human-like movement and behaviour, to employ in workplaces across the globe.
1X's flagship model, EVE, boasts front and rear optics, wheeled navigation and gripper-hands. The android is strong enough to move shipments but gentle enough to handle fragile items, making it ideal for work in retail storerooms or distribution centers. In addition, it is able to open doors and take elevators, and its AI mind grants it heightened navigation abilities, meaning it is simple to fit into workplaces without making large adjustments.
With significant funding at its back, the company is now looking to scale up its manufacture of EVE androids, as well as accelerate the production of its second-gen bipedal android model NEO which is described as an "intelligent android assistant". Though the adoption of working androids is still in its early stages, 1X has certainly made a splash in the space and may well be one to watch as it takes its place in shaping the future of robotics.
