Payroll Specialist, Medius

• The ideal candidate has proven experience in UK payroll processing, a strong grasp of payroll legislation, and excellent attention to detail
• Experience with global, outsourced payroll operations and systems such as HiBob, ADP, Sage, or Deel is essential to this role
• Exposure to payroll practices in either France, Poland, the USA, Canada, or the Netherlands is highly desirable
• Proven experience in UK payroll processing

• The Payroll Specialist at Medius is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations across multiple markets, including the UK and Ireland, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of payroll
• This role involves processing monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees, managing variable pay components, and ensuring adherence to all UK payroll regulations (PAYE, NI, pensions)
• The Payroll Specialist will act as a key liaison between HR, Finance, and external payroll providers (such as Deel or Activpayroll), handling employee queries, supporting audits, and driving process improvements
• Process monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees
• Manage variable pay elements (bonuses, commissions, overtime)
• Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation (PAYE, NI, pensions)
• Handle new starters, leavers, and contract changes towards the payroll provider
• Responding to employee queries regarding pay slips, tax codes, and deductions
• Collaborate with external payroll providers (e.g., Deel, Activpayroll)
• Support Payroll audits and reporting
