Role
Who you are
- Demonstrable examples of practical and effective problem-solving, such as identifying root causes, taking an 80:20 approach, and prioritising competing initiatives
- Experienced working within a performance or growth marketing role, ideally in the finance/fintech industry and/or selling to the SME segment
- Data-driven to the core. Data informs everything you do. You understand how to pull, read, analyse and use data to deliver effective marketing campaigns
- Detailed knowledge and experience of paid digital marketing channels: PPC (Google) essential, programmatic display, email and paid social (especially LinkedIn) a bonus
- Track record of executing successful lead generation campaigns that leverage a data driven approach
- Experience of working in a regulated industry, and an understanding of financial promotions guidance
- A record of creating acquisition hypotheses and running data-driven experiments at scale to test and learn using a cohort-based approach
- Flourishes in a fast-paced/start-up environment, ideally within a high-growth business or division
- Experience working with marketing automation tools, HubSpot experience a bonus
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
What the job involves
- New customer acquisition – ownership of the acquisition lead generation campaigns, that identify the right SMEs to approach at exactly the right time via the right marketing channels
- Target customer prospecting – using our sophisticated data source, market insights and carefully selected third parties, identify the right established SME customers to market to at the right time and pull the required data for the campaigns
- Data informed decisions – use data to guide all decision making, including where and when we invest in marketing campaigns and who to, always utilising a test and learn cohort-based approach
- Marketing automation - effectively use our marketing automation platform HubSpot to create automated campaigns that convert leads into customers, and customers into brand evangelists
- Results driven - own the targets; ensuring constant monitoring of campaign performance and conversion by analysing data to report on lead attribution and pipeline performance
- Support the relationship managers – work side-by-side with our relationship managers (sales) to gather feedback and insight, adjusting marketing focus to support their approach in the regions
- Executing regulatory compliant campaigns – work with compliance and legal teams to ensure financial promotions adhere to the required Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) standards
