Undergraduate degree in finance, economics or accounting is a plus but not necessary

Proficient in both French and English, spoken and written
Be legally authorized to work in the UK

What the job involves

Working in CDPQ’s London based private equity team, the candidate will be an integral part of the deal team supporting it both throughout new LBO transactions as well as with portfolio company monitoring
Participate in the evaluation of potential investment opportunities and contribute to the preparation of preliminary analyses and investment recommendation documents
Support the team, by carrying out rigorous financial modelling and review of business models
Contribute to the preparation of internal reports according to schedule and ensure that updates are implemented
Exhaustively review companies’ financial reports, establish comparable data representative of the market, by carrying out a detailed analysis
Provide support to the team in the preparation and organization of different discussions and meetings held with partners both inside and outside of CDPQ
Systematically carry out in-depth research on the situation and trends related to her/his industry sectors: proactively follow the news and gather information from key sources
