Role
Who you are
- You have 3-5 years of relevant working experience; experience in a law firm environment is strongly preferred
- You have a Bachelor's degree (University (WO) or University of Applied Sciences (HBO)) and an operational mindset
- You bring international experience (have worked with multiple jurisdictions)
- You have excellent organizational, communicational and project management skills
- You readily take responsibility and can think on your feet
- You love working in a supporting role
- You are a master multi-tasker: you need to manage multiple tasks, projects and work with and for multiple stakeholders
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Dutch or any other language is a plus)
- You are based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands
What the job involves
- The Legal Assistant will report to a Legal Counsel
- Respond to requests for information from third parties (such as customers, vendors and authorities)
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and manage email correspondence for shared legal mail groups, such as legal@
- Organize, manage and update physical and electronic legal folders and files
- Work with platforms of advisors, law firms, insurance brokers/carriers, etc. to ensure global compliance
- Manage and operate the centralized signature function for operational documentation reviewed by the Legal Team, ensuring all required signatures are obtained promptly and accurately
- Exposure to MessageBird’s Management Team to coordinate and facilitate document signing
- Handle sensitive and confidential information from the Legal and Finance Team
- Act as liaison between the Legal Team and other internal stakeholders
- Track, review and verify invoices from Legal’s vendors for accuracy and timely payment with internal stakeholders
- Travel as required and on short notice; and
- Whatever else you discover you need to do on the go
