Who you are
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (Ideally early stages of ACCA, CIMA or ACA or qualified by experience)
- Have experience working in a plc environment (preferred, but not essential)
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proactive and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment, with an ability to prioritise workload around deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A self-starter, able to work on own initiative with a willingness to take on more responsibility
- Capable of delivering information in an efficient manner
- Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities
What the job involves
- We're looking for a temporary Accounts Executive to play a key role supporting the Financial Operational team over the next 6 months
- The role will liaise with various stakeholders within finance and across the business
- Purchase ledger invoice posting, reconciling statements and meeting monthly Accounts Payable closure deadlines across different entities based in the UK
- Setting up supplier accounts and handling supplier enquiries
- Helping process payment runs
- Dealing with supplier queries
- Dealing with Change of bank details
- Processing sales invoices
- Assisting with month end invoicing
- Dealing with queries
- Refunds processing and dealing with queries
- Dealing with finance queries in conjunction with other team members
- Understanding of business processes and risks associated with a plc environment, ensuring a robust financial operations environment
