Who you are
- Ability to take initiatives from requirements to deployment
- 2+ years’ experience building highly scalable applications, contributing across the stack
- Ability to work and collaborate within distributed, multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- High bar for quality and a phenomenal attention to detail
- Strong experience with Ruby or similar technologies
- Experience with DevOps, cloud infrastructure services (AWS/Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker)
- Experience managing release activities
- A passion for CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to design and build scalable, high-availability mission-critical systems and APIs

Knowde is an online marketplace for the chemical industry, offering a single place for buyers and sellers to conduct transactions for all kinds of chemicals and chemical products. Knowde makes it easy to search for goods, compare products between sellers, and buy online with minimal fees and maximum convenience.
The company's founders have a background in chemicals and programming, and Knowde perfectly combines these two fields. Having previously worked for another chemicals marketplace, Chempoint, Knowde's CEO launched the business with a view to creating the chemical industry's first true online marketplace - the go-to online store for multiple verticals including food, pharmaceuticals, and household & industrial chemicals.
Across the world, trillions of dollars worth of chemical transactions are happening every year, and Knowde makes its money by taking just a small percentage of these transactions. It has attracted impressive investment from the likes of Sequoia Capital, which will help it develop an AI master data management platform. Over 8000 suppliers currently sell goods on Knowde, showcasing that it has played a major part in the digitization of the industry so far, and there are thousands more potential clients on the market, giving the company vital space to grow.
