Who you are

4+ Years of Software Engineering Experience: You have a proven track record of building complex products over at least two years in the industry.
Startup Savvy: You've gained experience working at a Series A to C startup, thriving in fast-paced and dynamic environments
Frontend Tech Stack Proficiency: You're skilled with our frontend stack, including React, Redux, Apollo, and TypeScript
Versatile Coding Skills: You write clean, maintainable, and performant code but can also move quickly and creatively when the situation calls for it
Strong Educational Background: You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another quantitative field

Shape Exceptional UI/UX Experiences: Solve intriguing problems to support powerful features without overwhelming our customers. Ensure our interface is highly performant, offering a low floor for newcomers and a high ceiling for power users tackling the most demanding use cases

Our take

Causal is a tool for performing calculations, visualising data, and communicating with numbers. Causal takes features from spreadsheets and combines them with key parts of programming, to make number-crunching collaborative and accessible to everyone, isolating key inputs and outputs of the model and visualising the dependencies within the model itself. Causal’s vision is to substitute spreadsheets as the de-facto way to work with numbers on a computer.

It is critical for an operator to identify and understand the levers in its business and gut instincts are no longer sufficient to drive businesses forward efficiently. A few key limitations to spreadsheets have also emerged over time, like live data integration, visual sensitivity analyses, accessibility and understandability for non-experts. Causal’s goal is to help its customers in a complex endeavour like building an effective model by making it a little bit simpler, allowing the client to visualise its business and then share it so that others can understand it and provide input.
