8+ years of experience in program management or similar roles
An undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office

Desirable

Strong preference for experience managing programs within a SaaS environment
Solid understanding of the SDLC and PDLC, with a proven track record of applying technical knowledge to achieve and improve business outcomes
Proficiency in program management methodologies (e.g., Agile) and technical project management tools (e.g., Jira)

Proven ability to assess program success, prioritize effectively, and navigate complex environments

As a Staff Technical Program Manager at Workiva, you will drive strategic initiatives and deliver solutions across our platform
This position requires collaboration with highly skilled technical teams, fostering cross-functional relationships and open communication
You will orchestrate program success from inception to delivery, constantly seeking ways to improve processes and optimize performance
You must thrive as a mentor for Program Managers, helping more junior team members to navigate complex challenges and remove roadblocks
Your efforts will influence the future direction and growth of our platform and PMO, making a significant impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Strategic Visionary: Lead strategic product development initiatives, driving future direction and tangible results
Problem Solver: Simplify complex programs by defining scope, timeline, stakeholders, and deliverables, sometimes handing off to a team or seeing through to completion
Multitasker: Manage multiple priorities with different stakeholders, ensuring effective prioritization and scope negotiation
Technical Expert: Utilize deep software development experience to plan, manage, and mitigate risks throughout the SDLC and PDLC, collaborating cross-functionally across the organization to align with Go-To-Market strategies
Mentor and Resource: Guide and support Program Managers with expertise in program management
Agile Collaborator: Foster open communication and cross-functional collaboration, building strong stakeholder relationships
Metrics Architect: Analyze program data, generate reports, and implement feedback loops to optimize performance by making data driven decisions
Change Champion: Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and innovative problem-solving
Executive Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with leadership, translating technical nuances into clear roadmaps and updates
