Role
Who you are
- You have a BSc, in a life sciences discipline, or relevant sales experience in an Inside Sales or Sales Development position
- Outstanding communication skills are extremely important - both verbal and written
- Great attention to detail; you enjoy being thorough and seeing things through
- Ability to learn new skills in a short amount of time
- You're comfortable in a fast-moving and dynamic environment and not afraid to fail, learn and grow
- Ability to operate remotely given the fluid nature of COVID protocols
- It will help if you have existing knowledge or experience of sales development or inside sales, especially in the Life Sciences sector
- Alternatively, you could be working in Life Sciences (with a relevant degree) and have a natural flair for understanding clients' needs and identifying trends and opportunities, along with high intelligence, adaptability, ability to work independently, curiosity, empathy and a relentless drive to get things done
- Some experience working with a CRM, ideally Hubspot or Salesforce would be beneficial
- You're someone who radiates positive energy and is passionate about the power of technology, and its use in science

What the job involves
- You would initially be developing sales prospects rather than closing deals
- Identify and collate lists of prospective clients via the use of LinkedIn and online other databases such as ZoomInfo
- Conduct outbound campaigns to prospects from our target market (Big Pharma / Biotech)
- Set up discovery calls and software demos to create sales opportunities
- Collaborate closely with our Sales and Pre-Sales teams to ensure we make the best possible first impression in every new conversation
- Capture all outbound activity and account information in our CRM tool, HubSpot & Salesforce
- Build a strong awareness of the biopharmaceutical industry and key trends & become familiar with the networking landscape for Life Sciences, this involves attending in-person events in search of prospective leads and partners
- Learn the product’s uses and applications and be ready to speak to it to prospects in environments such as conferences, trade shows, and networking events

With this approach, Synthace is helping to drive the 'fourth industrial revolution', developing systems offering scientists the tools to help find cures for diseases like cancer sooner. Having worked with clients including Oxford Biomedica, GSK, and Microsoft, it is well placed to continue growing and spreading its cloud-based SaaS product and grow its customer base
