Who you are
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable experience with APIs, front-end architecture, and making Postman calls
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the commerce enablement and B2B fintech space

- B2B SaaS: 4+ years of experience in B2B SaaS Sales Engineering role

What the job involves
- As our Founding Sales Engineer, you will play an instrumental role in bridging the gap between our technical team and our prospective clients
- You'll be at the forefront, showcasing our product's value proposition, demonstrating its capabilities, and understanding our clients' unique needs to provide tailored solutions
- Your technical prowess will ensure you translate intricate technical details into tangible benefits for our clients
- Product Expertise: Gain comprehensive knowledge of our product suite, being the go-to expert for demonstrations and technical consultations
- Client Demos: Conduct engaging and customized product demonstrations to potential customers, showcasing the unique value our solutions bring
- Technical Liaison: Work closely with the product and technical teams to convey feedback from the field and collaborate on potential enhancements or custom solutions for clients
- Solution Crafting: Understand prospect needs and design tailored solutions using our products, ensuring their challenges are met with our technology
- Sales Enablement: Support the sales team with technical insights and guidance, helping them understand and navigate the technical aspects of the sales cycle
- Product Marketing: Leverage your unique customer perspective to share Rutter’s perspective on industry changes, emerging technologies, and trends in commerce enablement and B2B fintech space to build our brand as an industry thought leader
Our take
Rutter is on a mission to enable new commerce experiences. The company offers a universal API for reading and writing data across different commerce platforms. In doing so, it accelerates the development of new commerce and financial services by removing the complexities of dealing with different eCommerce storefronts, payment processors, and accounting systems.
As an example, if a company wanted to serve merchants and SMBS across Shopify, Amazon, and BigCommerce, they would have to build integrations for each platform one at a time. Rutter’s API removes the need to do so, saving valuable engineering hours and maintenance costs.
In 2022, the company received funding to accelerate its progress in becoming the infrastructure for the world’s commerce applications, investing in scaling out its engineering and go-to-market teams in preparation for expansion. With this in mind, it can be expected the company will be seeking growth soon, and it will be interesting how it sets about these expansion efforts in the coming years.
