Who you are

8+ years of experience in product analytics or data science, including 3-5 years of people management
Bachelor's degree required; Master's or MBA in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Economics is preferred
Advanced expertise in analytics and experimentation, including A/B testing, multivariate testing, statistical analysis, and experiment design
Strong technical acumen in data modeling, SQL, and data pipeline management
Proficiency with BI platforms such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI for dashboarding and data visualization
Deep foundational knowledge of core inferential statistics concepts such as significance, power, confidence intervals, and variance
Experience with experimentation platforms like Optimizely or VWO
Skills in data analysis languages including Python and R
Knowledge of product analytics platforms like Amplitude, Mixpanel, and Google Analytics
Familiarity with data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift
Pro-level ability to synthesize and communicate complex concepts and analyses in simple ways to both technical and non-technical audiences
Proven ability in stakeholder management, cross-functional leadership, and driving business outcomes with a solution-oriented mindset

What the job involves

Set team or department goals and align them with company strategy
Use stakeholder priorities and roadmap as input to planning and devise clear key results
Mentor and coach direct reports while actively sharing feedback and managing their performance and growth
Lead end-to-end analytics projects, including deep dives into core product funnels, experiment design, and the development of decision models
Own the delivery of analytics outcomes and ensure the team strives to drive the business rather than operating as a support team
Partner with cross-functional leaders to define and continuously align priorities with business stakeholders
Advocate for tools, resourcing, and process improvements
Represent the team or function in leadership forums
Foster an inclusive and growth-oriented team culture
Contribute to the development of an experimentation-driven culture by sharing learnings and recommendations from experiments with key stakeholders

Our take

Customer retention in mobile gaming can lead to increased ad revenue and more immersive experiences. Mistplay is a loyalty program helping publishers achieve a higher hit rate on their games, whilst simultaneously rewarding gamers for their loyalty.

Its loyalty programme involves curated game recommendation libraries and rewards for partaking in challenges and tournaments. Publishers gain increased ad revenue for partnering with Mistplay, as well as the chance to capitalise on a 6 million+ user base. Indeed, Mistplay has grown significantly since its launch in 2016, resulting in a buyout by GrowthCurve Capital in 2021.

Whilst it mainly focused on Android devices up until 2025, the release of Mistplay for iPhone marks a step up for the company. Its advertising and loyalty programmes can now reach an even larger consumer base, indicating a promising future for the pioneering ad and gaming platform.
