What the job involves

We’re looking for a Field Application Engineer who’s wired for AI/ML, fluent in real-world problem-solving, and excited to build with the people actually using what we make
You’ll be the technical glue between our bleeding-edge software stack and the developers pushing it to its limits
Solve real problems with real users. You’ll help developers make our platform sing and unlock the potential of their own products
Design smart solutions that aren’t just powerful, but practical
Your field insight will help shape our roadmap, our features, and the way we show up for developers
Tell great stories. Through code, demos, and conversation, you’ll help people see what’s possible and how to get there
Explore how to push the boundaries of AI performance on custom silicon and help developers do the same
Experience what it’s like to build the future from scratch, working alongside teams creating hardware, software, and everything in between
Master the craft of fine-tuning LLMs, optimizing vision models, and building AI pipelines that run at scale
Understand why field roles drive real impact turning on-the-ground insight into product breakthroughs and platform momentum

Our take

Advances in artificial intelligence apps, combined with a global chip shortage, are strong tailwinds for chip processor Tenstorrent. The semi-conducter developer is designing specialized chips for running artificial intelligence applications, building chips for what it calls "software 2.0".

The company’s unique approach is to build for this future software, which it believes will be written at a higher level. Combining this with conditional computing, Tenstorrent supports a scalable distributed network approach that is analogous to a human brain.

While the market for specialised AI hardware is destined to be gigantic, the company has to compete with a plethora of hopeful startups (as well as major tech companies like NVIDIA and Qualcomm). That said, Tenstorrent boasts an excellent trajectory so far, with its latest moves including unveiling its high-end Wormhole AI processors, and a partnership with LG which will see the development of chips for "Affectionate Intelligence".
