Role
Who you are
- BS technical degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of above-quota sales experience, preferably as a Regional Sales Executive/Manager selling data and analytics products
- Deep knowledge of current data solutions (Splunk, Elasticsearch, Snowflake, etc)
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, both internally and externally. Ability to engage with a variety of technical and business leaders
- Enterprise sales experience with an actionable Rolodex of decision makers in the engineering organization
- Superb organizational and reporting skills
- Experience with growing the sales enablement function to support sales in a rapidly evolving and competitive marketplace
- "Whatever it takes" attitude and motivation to deliver above-quota performance
- Prior startup experience
- Experience working with channel partners and a strong understanding of a channel-centric GTM approaches
What the job involves
- SentinelOne is seeking an Enterprise Sales Representative, Data, who displays a deep passion for and proven track record of strategic business planning and development
- This person will have the responsibility for driving the next stage of growth for Singularity Data Lake, and tasked with building out a direct sales channel as well as various partner led solution channels including managed security services
- They will work closely with the marketing and product teams to design and implement successful lead Generation and Go-to-Market campaigns, and drive overall sales excellence in a competitive market
- The Data team is the backbone of the SentinelOne business, providing a world class data platform that enables unrivaled cost, performance and scalability
- Help us get this platform into the hands of customers and support them in their mission to affordably collect and retain their most critical asset - data
- Ideal candidates will have prior experience selling data products (such as log analytics, data warehouses, ETL and BI products)
- The principal responsibilities for this position are to generate revenue from Strategic Accounts across the region through following up on multiple lead sources, developing new clients and selling directly to customers while leveraging our channel community
- Run a sophisticated sales process from prospecting to closure
- Partner with our channel team to drive both net-new and recurring revenue
- Partner with channel managers to build pipeline and grow the assigned territory
- Become an insider within the Cyber Security Industry and become an expert of SentinelOne products
- Stay well educated and informed about SentinelOne's competitive landscape and how to sell the value of our solutions and services when compared to the relevant competitors in the Next Generation Endpoint market space
- Consistently meet, or exceed sales quotas
Our take
Cybercriminals are now leveraging the power of automation to make the current threat landscape too advanced for a lot of legacy antivirus software. SentinelOne is a cybersecurity company that matches this automation, with machine learning-focused software that is built to help businesses battle online attacks.
The company expanded the scope of its business from the endpoint security market to three markets valued at a combined $30 billion, including the corporate endpoint security and IT operations management markets. This gives SentinelOne a bigger potential customer base, although also puts them in direct competition with more focused cybersecurity companies, in addition to its biggest competitor, CrowdStrike.
When the company went public, it made financial headlines as the highest-valued cybersecurity IPO ever, which gave SentinelOne a market cap of $10B, though it's now fallen to around $4B. It has subsequently launched S Ventures, a $100M fund, through which SentinelOne invests in cybersecurity startups and has expanded its partnership with major tax firm KPMG to accelerate cyber investigations and responses to threats.
