- Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred

What the job involves
- Being an SDR at Sezzle is a fast-paced, exciting job for someone looking to accelerate their sales career
- As an SDR, you will be at the forefront of an exciting product that helps financially empower our shoppers’ lives, but also helps our merchant partners grow their businesses quickly by attracting a new audience of shoppers to their stores
- In this role, you will be accountable for driving conversations with prospective merchants, setting meetings for account executives and sales directors, and hitting the target for amount of outreach on a monthly and yearly basis
- We use a variety of different sales tools in our prospecting efforts to help us hit the mark!
- This role is remote, with preference for local applicants
- Qualify inbound leads and develop relationships
- Generate outbound sales conversations through email campaigns
- Coordinate product demonstrations between Sezzle Account Executives/Sales Directors and prospective merchants
- Track communication and engagement via Salesforce and Salesloft
- Close sales and assist merchants with onboarding
Our take
More and more people are looking to "Buy Now Pay Later" (BNPL) solutions to increase their purchasing power. Sezzle is one of a raft of companies offering interest-free payments solutions.
Sezzle was launched with the intention of giving ordinary people more financial agency. The platform offers consumers rapid approval decisions, and loans do not affect their credit score. What's more, users can opt-in to an innovative credit building service. Sezzle has further consolidated its market position by partnering with other companies, including customer service platform Klaviyo.
The prevalence of BNPL solutions has increased hugely in recent years, and Sezzle's main challenge will be competing with rival providers, including Klarna and PayPal. Post IPO, Sezzle experienced a market contraction in 2025 after questions were raised over its business model's sustainability, so it'll be interesting to see how the company responds and continues its growth.
