Company mission
To transform IT to revolutionize the enterprise.
Role
Who you are
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Top-tier management consulting experience at the Principal/AP/Senior Manager; MBA preferred
- Operating experience inside a large technology company, ideally enterprise software/AI
- Go-to-market strategy experience, ideally with expertise representing a specialist sales unit / team
- Startup exposure or comparable muscle — comfort operating quickly with incomplete information
- Strong commercial instincts and fluency with data: you can build the model, find the insight, and defend the conclusion
- Executive presence and ability to build credibility with senior leaders, and the judgment to push back when it matters
What the job involves
- ServiceNow's Employee Experience Business Unit transforms how employees get work done in the agentic era — with a world-class, employee-centric harness that resolves IT and HR requests, enables frontier AI capabilities within enterprise governance guardrails, and is bringing to market the next-generation of AI productivity assistants
- The EX BU is the result of ServiceNow’s acquisition of Moveworks in late 2025 and its unification with the HR Service Delivery portfolio. The business is now in hypergrowth and represents one of the most exciting growth environments in enterprise AI
- The GVP of Moveworks Sales owns delivery of the Employee Experience revenue target – and is seeking a Chief of Staff to act as a critical strategy partner, senior operator, and right hand
- This role comes with a mandate to define and own the strategic and operating outcomes that directly drive BU performance for one of ServiceNow's most strategic bets
- Operating metrics, end to end. Specialist ramp-to-productivity, bundle attach rate, pipeline coverage by segment, and specialist productivity. You are accountable for moving these numbers, not just reporting on them
- Specialist sales as a growth engine. Talent bar, onboarding, ramp math, and territory design as a continuous discipline rather than an annual planning exercise
- Sales play design and adoption. Work closely with GTM specialists to translate our portfolio strategy into plays that Specialist and Core AEs can land with customers
- Operating cadence. Design forecast calls, pipeline reviews, QBRs, and leadership staff inside the EX BU, plus the interlocks with core sales and product leadership. Tee up and drive decision making with senior leaders, rather than status updates
- Cross-functional dependencies that determine the number. Hold the standing relationships with Product, Marketing, Business Value, Enablement, and Customer Success. Represent the Sales point of view with authority to enable cross-functional leaders to act in tight coordination with our revenue priorities
- Executive narrative. Own the strategic narrative and supporting analysis for executive staff and board forums — with a defensible point of view on what we need to learn from the data
- What success looks like in 12 months:
- Core sales leaders and AEs engaged with EX portfolio as a customer priority
- Faster productivity ramp for our Specialist Sales, with a repeatable onboarding motion, playbook, business value case, and assets that clearly reflect our strategic priorities (e.g., key offerings, sales plays)
- Product, marketing, and CS commitments sequenced against the sales plan, with dependencies surfaced early enough to act on
- The GVP spends materially more time with customers and core leaders, with strategic clarity on the 2-3 ‘big rocks’ that need to progress at any given time
Our take
ServiceNow provides cloud-based solutions that define, structure, manage, and automate services for enterprise operations, transforming old, manual ways of working into modern digital workflows. The company was founded in 2004 with a vision to build a cloud-based platform that would enable regular people to route work effectively through the enterprise.
Much as Salesforce enables a company to manage its external clients by keeping a record of all contacts and interactions, ServiceNow promises an internal system to meet the needs of employees. It has succeeded in claiming half the market, setting itself apart from legacy IT service-management software players like BMC Software, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Cherwell Software and CA Technologies.
The company's success comes from two product traits: simplicity and customisability. ServiceNow's IT tools don't require the IT department to set them up. Once running, they offer a single collection centre for requests, data points and checklists, all of which can in turn be analysed by algorithms to predict needs, flag concerns and measure efficiency.
The company has more than 7,700 customers, including 85% of the Fortune 500 list of the United States' largest corporations. ServiceNow now looks to increase its revenue threefold in the upcoming years and has entered into a 5-year partnership plan with Visa, beginning with the launch of a Visa-integrated dispute resolution solution for issuers. The company is prioritising organic growth over mergers and acquisitions, with a target revenue of $15B, something which its Visa partnership will no doubt aid in achieving.
