Role
Who you are
- Experience scaling a revenue pipeline to achieve millions in revenue, with extensive experience in sales but also experience as a sales leader
- Experience developing business with enterprise clients especially enterprise car OEMs and ideally also e-mobility ecosystem players, like charger manufacturers
- Confidence selling to clients up to C-level; you’ll be a consultative salesperson who has honed their craft, and can quickly build trust with clients in the US and Europe
- Excellent ability to craft and hone pitch material and develop our value proposition - internally and externally you’ll be able to articulate the history, vision and opportunities, and excite and inspire listeners
- Excellent understanding of the wider mobility and energy policy landscape, with creative ideas on how to influence this to achieve overall business growth
- Existing contacts and relationships within the industry - you’ll be able to quickly open up new doors as we scale the business
- Ability to problem solve and think of solutions to often complex technical challenges, or to work with team members on resolving these challenges
- Sales leadership - you’ll be able to recognise and hire talent, and nurture and mentor to create a world-class sales team. You’ll also be able to put in structures and processes to enable and incentive the sales team to do their very best work
- An interest and enthusiasm in the company mission of reducing carbon emissions
What the job involves
- Your mission is to expand our hardware partnerships and increase the number of drivers connected to ev.energy
- You'll be given the reins to shape the partnership strategy, working closely with the Executive Committee (ExCo), and reporting to the CEO
- We’re looking for more talented and passionate folk to join our mission to make EV charging greener, as we push to have over a million drivers using our product globally
- Build and implement a Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy to scale enterprise Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and charger clients globally, driving revenue growth and increasing market share
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective partners
- Develop value propositions to help scale distribution partnerships to millions of users by signing enterprise car OEMs, charger partners, and other distribution partnerships (e.g. insurance)
- Develop globally scalable and locally tailored GTM strategies, and lead their deployment across Europe (with a focus on Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK) and the United States
- Generate and drive direct and indirect revenue by signing B2B distribution deals to support the business in scaling to tens of millions of Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR)
- Lead, mentor, and grow your partnerships team by taking responsibility for hiring and coaching, as well as introducing necessary processes, tools, and incentives to keep the team motivated and able to do their best work possible
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure sales goals align with overall business objectives
- Introduce metrics and data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
Our take
Properly managing electric vehicle charging is critical to a low carbon future. With a growing numbers of EV rolling out over the world, ev.energy is tackling the unique set of pain points that exists for EV users.
The company has created an easy-to-use app to support users with each EV charging session. The app optimises and schedules charging times relative to grid demand, helping EV owners avoid peak tariffs, save money, prevent over-congestion on the grid and use the greenest electricity possible.
Strategic moves, such as a 2022 partnership struck with Easee, combining ev.energy's software with Easee's domestic chargers, indicate the company's continuous work to optimise user experience. while maximising the use of renewable energy. A Hypervolt charging station partnership in 2025, and a California Energy Commission grant of $41 million in 2024 show that ev.energy will remain a major player in the green energy software market.
