Corporate Legal Counsel, Enthusiast Gaming

• Admission to a provincial or state bar in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of legal experience in private practice and/or in-house within a corporation
• Excellent legal and business judgment with experience assessing and communicating risks to business partners in a clear and actionable way
• Experience operating independently and working cross-functionally with various teams across an organization
• A self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience collaborating effectively and coordinating complex tasks with multiple stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-dimensional projects in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

• Reporting directly to the General Counsel who is based in Toronto, this new hire you will work closely with members across the organization as part of a tight-knit team supporting the Company's various legal needs
• Prepare and review various agreements, contracts, and other legal documents such as sponsorship agreements, talent contracts, licensing agreements, content development agreements, partnership agreements, and representation agreements
• Provide legal advice and counsel to the organization in support of business activities and various transactions
• Work cross-functionally with corporate development, finance, human resources, sales, customer success, talent, and operations
• Provide support for public company reporting obligations and compliance requirements with respect to the TSX and Nasdaq listings
• Guide informed decisions and reduce risk by researching and interpreting existing laws and regulations as well as anticipated changes to these
• Assist in monitoring, maintaining, and implementing various corporate governance practices and policies
• Represent the organization in litigation, negotiations, and other matters for which legal counsel is required
• Coordinate with outside counsel to address issues requiring specialized legal input
• Perform other related duties and ad hoc projects as dictated by business needs
