Who you are
- If you enjoy the challenges of building scalable, robust, and high performing distributed systems which process large data sets in real time, this position may be right for you
- Have experience in building a UI component library that streamlines development and promotes a consistent user experience
- Have hands-on experience designing and delivering complex front-end projects
- Have experience building backend APIs
- Have experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers on the team
- At least 10 years of Frontend Software Engineering experience
- You are a self starter, minimal supervision and have a track record of learning quickly
- Ability to problem solve from first principles and maintain focus on overarching objectives
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Experience with full stack web development (e.g. React frontend with Node.js backend API/services)
- Experience developing interfaces for secure and scalable services (e.g. RESTful API, RPC)
- Experience implementing secure web development practices and performance optimization
What the job involves
- As a Staff SoftwareEngineer, Platform UI at Cribl, you will help set the technical direction by working closely with an existing team of awesome engineers and product managers to help identify, design, develop, and deliver products that delight our customers
- Additionally, you will be empowered to influence our internal tools, technologies, and processes as we continue to grow
- This role is equal parts research and development
- In this role, you will join a team of skilled engineers committed to shipping the highest quality software and ensuring our customers’ satisfaction
- Architect and deliver large-scale UI solutions using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, ensuring rapid development and high-quality code
- Implement accessibility best practices, leveraging tools to identify and resolve accessibility issues for an inclusive user experience
- Lead cross-team efforts with other engineering teams and stakeholders, driving projects that span multiple functional areas

In a bid to simplify big data analytics, Cribl offers a data observability pipeline which allows users to reduce low value data, improve routing and gain more data context on one interface.
As companies now collect more and more data from frequently scattered sources, its useability and reliability comes into question. By offering an observability service, Cribl allows users to maintain the health of their data systems by monitoring, tracking and troubleshooting issues.
Cribl's main challenge will be competing with the likes of Observe and Edge Delta. However, Cribl has raised impressive funds that should accelerate its transition from a limited tool vendor to a fully-fledged observability suite. The company also boasts surpassing $100 million in annual recurring revenue, having grown this from $1 million in less than four years.
