Role
Who you are
- We are after someone who is fluent in running campaigns across search, youtube, display and meta.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a PPC Manager or Digital Marketing Specialist focused on SEM
- Success running campaigns for a subscription product
- Experience with multiple platforms, e.g. AdWords, Facebook Ads, TikTok Bing
- Deep knowledge of DJ culture
- You will have strong analytical and numeracy skills, and be confident translating large amounts of data into comprehensible or visual reports
- Expertise using and manipulating paid search dashboards to optimise spend
- Confidence using Google Analytics or similar tools
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written, and experience presenting reports and optimisations
What the job involves
- Your focus will be scaling Mixcloud Pro, our creator-focussed product. On the technical front you will work closely with the insights team who will be able to support you with all things reporting strategy and tagging. When it comes to creative, copy and content you will work with our Marketing and Partnerships team
- Initially, we'd expect you to take the reigns on the already running campaigns, establish and own a reporting process and plan scaling experiments for the next few months.
- Over time, we'd expect to see improvements in the performance of our paid acquisition efforts and we'd like this channel to be a core pillar of our subscription growth strategy.
- It's also important that everyone in the company has access to the information they need so we need an excellent communicator who is able to report granularly as well as in a summarised manner
- This role is a 3 month contract role (4 days per week) with the possibility of going permanent
- Take full ownership of Mixcloud's paid ads strategy (you will not be managing an agency)
- Creating, developing & implementing effective long- and short-term paid search strategies, consistently hitting targets
- Managing significant monthly PPC budgets and tracking performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Executing & optimising multiple PPC campaigns simultaneously
- Overseeing campaigns across a number of search platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Social Media ads, Bing)
- Targeting selected groups through keyword and audience research
- Managing and editing campaign budgets and adjusting bids to optimise ROAS
- Reporting KPIs to management on a regular basis via various dashboards
- Producing engaging, clear and concise copy for campaigns
- Ensuring campaigns are aligned across multiple channels, avoiding wasted spend or crossover
- Staying up-to-date with PPC/SEM trends and techniques, and applying them where relevant

Mixcloud wants to remove the middleman who can often take away from the creator and fan connection and provide direct support for creators. It operates via an audio streaming platform that prioritises creators who craft a deeper listening experience and build their own fan communities.
Founded in 2009, Mixcloud operates a fair and legal streaming service that ensures artists, songwriters, and rights-holders behind the music receive their fair royalties. The company also offers a direct fan-to-creator channel subscription model that uniquely enables the long-form audio creator to take part in the online revenue mix, amongst other services.
Mixcloud is continually developing the features it offers fans and creators, such as through live streams that promote direct fan payments. It operates on tech that does not lag, allowing for real-time fan viewing. Other features include a tipping option on artists' pages to help solidify Mixcloud's creator-first position.
