Who you are
- A demonstrable track record of delivering high-quality analysis, distilling diverse data sources into actionable business insights
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
- Excellent skills in defining feature and usage metrics, conversion and retention analysis, and uncovering data insights to drive decision-making
- Understanding of product challenges and organization, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Ability to proactively manage workload in a deadline-driven environment
- You are meticulous in verifying the accuracy of the data and ensuring that any insights uncovered are based on sound statistical analysis
- Clear communicator able to explain findings in an easy and compelling way helping to drive data informed decision making throughout the company

What the job involves
- This role will be instrumental in cleaning and organising data to provide actionable insights to our Engineering Team, working closely with our Data Engineer Albert as well as having the ability to multiply the impact of all teams (Product, Sales, Care, SEO, Leadership) across Happy Scribe through insight
- Work in collaboration with Albert our Data Engineer
- Partner with Engineering to enhance our internal data stack, ensuring efficient, clean and accurate data processing and availability
- Investigate customer behaviours, extract key insights, and provide data-driven recommendations to contribute to the product direction
- Foster a data-informed mindset across the company, empowering teams with self-service tools and up-skilling opportunities
- At Happy Scribe teams are made of generalists and everyone uses self-serve analytics, but you will be there to help untangle the most complex situations, and to review other’s analysis and conclusions
- You will gain an extremely deep quantitative understanding of all the business — if the product team launches a change to a feature that slightly changes the user behaviour, you would notice right away
- You will be responsible for the understanding of all things metrics within the company, enabling most of the teams expecting to work in SQL and also perform engineering work in dbt
