Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a similar related qualification
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable, month-end reconciliation, banking
- Strong attention to detail when entering data and reconciling statements
- Problem-solving skills to assist with month-end reconciliations and resolve queries
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members and external service providers
- Strong Excel skills
- Organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently while seeking guidance as needed
- Adaptability to new software and changing financial systems
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate with various departments
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, especially during month-end periods

What the job involves
- Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will involve a wide scope of responsibilities and allow the intern to gain vital experience in the Finance field
- Accounts Payable duties, including entering invoices on Netsuite for payment, reconciling end-of-month statements and maintaining creditors' listing
- Reconcile Ireland and UK Bank accounts
- Preparation of supplier payment runs
- Liaise with the Finance Manager and the Finance team to resolve any queries and ensure bank accounts are accurate and up-to-date
- Ensure that all processes, policies, and procedures within the role are documented
