Role
Who you are
- You are available to work on Saturdays. While this is a full-time position, the role is available because we are expanding our weekend team. We will be flexible in allowing you to choose which day of the week you would like to take in lieu of working Saturday.
- You're a highly driven, self-motivated person, with a real desire to develop your sales skills as a part of a team that works tirelessly for one another and our customers. You're target driven, you don't shy away from a challenge, and you want to be a key early member of a start-up with big growth targets.
- You're compassionate, honest, emotionally intelligent, and you genuinely care about the wellbeing of others. You want to win, but not at all costs, and certainly not at the expense of good outcomes for your customers and positive relationships with your team mates.
- You have 1 - 2 years experience in sales, whether that's B2C, B2B, or B2B2C. You understand the basic principles of sales, but more importantly you have a strong desire for coaching and development to become the best sales person you can be. You truly believe that it's your eagerness to learn that makes you stand out.
What the job involves
- Leading from the frontline in changing the narrative around end of life conversations - helping customers plan ahead and think positively about the legacy they want to leave behind
- Speaking with new leads on the phone, listening closely to them, and pitching Aura to them in the most engaging, fun, informative and inspiring way possible. Beyond that, you will be confident in communicating by text and email whenever necessary, as well as monitoring and controlling your AI Sales Co-Pilot.
- Consistently and thoughtfully engaging with your pipeline of leads, ensuring sure that you go the extra mile to make every single one of them feel valued, heard, and 100% convinced that Aura is the perfect company for them.
- Analysing data. You will have your own key sales metrics dashboard on Hubspot, which will allow you to track, analyse and improve your performance over time.
- Coaching and development. You will receive regular 121 and team coaching, ranging from call listening, to role play, to testing new lead generation and customer engagement strategies.
- Getting creative. We expect all of our team members to be constantly thinking of ways to improve our customer experience, and we give generously when it comes to giving you the chance to test your ideas out for yourself and reporting back on the results. We approach everything with a democratic spirit.
- Being thorough and on time with your admin. You will post brochures, membership packs, hand-written letters, and more to your leads. You will make sure all of this is done on time and ensure everything is well presented with a "human touch."
- Feeding into product and marketing efforts - gathering insights around what’s working or not working with our customers and collaborating with other departments improve what we do.
- Adhering to FCA rules and regulations. Making sure that everything we do is in the customers best interests and treating customers fairly.
Our take
In the past, the majority of people have not prepared for death. However, in recent years, an increasing number of people are talking and planning for it as one of life’s key events. Funerals shifting towards meaningful celebration of life parties is a prime example of this.
Aura is an online platform where people facing end of life can leave an online legacy for their loved ones. It was founded in 2017 by Paul Jameson after he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease, but wanted to embrace life, plan ahead and leave his family in the best position possible.
Since then, it has helped thousands of people tackle their hardships and is now run by Jameson’s family. The company has grown to offer celebration of life funeral planning, end-of-life support and the Aura Circle (a digital community of 30k people). With an important mission, Aura has great potential to build a significant business that impacts lots of people, and has attracted several rounds of angel investment to help it on its way.
