Senior Quality Engineer, Capi

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including agile testing and TDD
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, JavaScript)
• Experience in a fast-paced VC-backed tech startup or scale-up environment
• Experience designing and implementing automated testing frameworks and determining appropriate testing coverage and types for different system components
• Understanding of monitoring and observability principles and how they help track system performance and behaviour
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with developers and stakeholders

• As our first Quality Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in establishing a culture of quality within our development process
• You'll be responsible for ensuring we ship high-quality software and monitoring deployed systems to ensure they continue performing as expected
• While we need to maintain rapid product velocity, you'll need to balance quality with speed
• Your approach should be pragmatic, finding solutions that strike the right balance between building robust software and meeting business priorities and risks, while building our best practices over time
• Design, implement, and maintain QA strategy, processes, workflows, and best practices
• Champion “shift-left” quality practices and work closely with product, engineering and design to ensure quality is integrated throughout the product development
• Develop automated testing frameworks to accelerate testing cycles and improve efficiency
• Conduct performance and security testing to ensure our systems are robust, scalable, and protect sensitive financial data
• Improve our monitoring and observability to gain insights into system health
• Utilise quantitative and qualitative data to identify areas to improve quality, performance bottlenecks, optimise system performance, and proactively address potential issues
• Lead manual testing of large product changes, defining test cases and plans covering functional, non-functional, performance, and security aspects
