What the job involves
- We are a growing team looking for a Regional Sales Manager in the Sales department to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics
- As a Regional Sales Manager you’ll work on interesting responsibilities like prospecting, creating, and developing new leads, securing deals with senior external stakeholders, while working closely with the account management & carrier teams to continually drive top-line growth for existing customers
- This person hustles, inspires, and enjoys creating something from nothing
- Prospect, create, and develop new leads through cold & warm outreach; generate new customer opportunities
- Full ownership of pipeline from lead gen, prospecting, pitch, pricing, close
- Communicate the capability, vision, and value proposition of sennder to logistics procurement leadership across multiple industries
- Regularly attend meetings (virtual & face to face) with prospects and active shippers
- Engage with a variety of external stakeholders, from transportation managers to senior level executives
- Work closely with the account management & carrier teams to continually drive top-line growth for existing customers
- Own core metrics for your pipeline, frequently reporting on this internally
- Lead RFP process activities: RFI completion, documentation review, summary, and distribution to stakeholders across teams
- Help to form pricing strategy based on overall business objectives, and communicate goals to customers

The global freight industry is massive, with estimates of its size ranging from $8 trillion to $12 trillion annually. Freight forwarding — the process of organising how and where items will be shipped around the world, and specifically the technology that underpins that work — continues to be a huge area of the logistics market.
Sennder, a digital freight forwarder focused on transporting cargo around Europe, is working towards becoming one of the biggest players in the European market. Sennder's current strategy, following major funding, is to expand rapidly, building upon existing expansions including Cars&Cargo, Uber Freight Europe and Everoad.
Although it is one of the most well-funded of the freight forwarders, Sennder will face direct competition in Europe from the likes of Zencargo, as well as international pressure from international giants such as the US' Flexport. To keep them ahead in the market, Sennder must ensure it keeps on top of developing tech such as fleet management systems and the use of the blockchain to manage automation. As well as this, they must battle with an increasingly climate-conscious consumer base putting growing pressure on the logistics industry to cut down its environmental costs. Ensuring it keeps a balance between performance and innovation will be crucial to Sennder's success going forward.
