Role
Who you are
- Proven experience working as Technical Business Analyst in a technology or digital industry within an agile environment
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies and experience working in product delivery
- Experience working with platform / enabling capabilities
- Sufficient technical knowledge / conceptual awareness to confidently interact with data engineers / analysts as well as non-technical stakeholders
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to communicate and enthuse work towards a single vision, fostering a positive, performing culture through personal example
- Exceptional communication skills, being able to work collaborative across business and technology stakeholders and build relationships in a matrix-style organisation
- Strong ability to work with teams, third parties and multiple work streams with dynamic priorities
- Must have experience using modern data analysis tools, such as BigQuery and Tableau, especially in a GCP environment
- Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation techniques, such as use cases, process flows, and user stories
- Knowledge of insurance industry and the data and information needed for an underwriting function in insurance would be beneficial
What the job involves
- Identifying, documenting and understanding pain points and the most impactful problems to solve with clear technology and/or data targeted outcomes
- Working closely with agile squads, tech leads and customers to ensure solutions align with requirements and timelines and identify and resolve issues, risks, and dependencies that would impact delivery
- Analysing existing business or operational processes, surface common trends across use-cases, performing and documenting gap analysis against target states, categorise potential requirement in terms of urgency and impact
- Facilitating workshops with business/customers and act as an interface between technology/data teams and the broader organisation
- Running feedback sessions with users / customers to understand pain points and identify new areas of opportunity for development
- Supporting agile squads with backlog definition, refinement and grooming of items based on understanding of business and customer needs, focusing on those areas that drive user and business value
- Helping drive adoption of new solutions, supporting with rollout plans and identifying key training requirements, as well support for defining these solutions will operate in their target state

Recent funding has allowed for extensive expansion of the company, and plans include further development into the company's algorithm. The company ultimately looks to establish itself as the centre of the specialist insurance sector to operate efficiently and seamlessly alongside the existing market.
