What the job involves
- We're looking for an experienced and people-focused Engineering Manager to lead a talented team of engineers in delivering scalable, cloud-based software solutions
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, creating an environment that fosters growth, collaboration, and technical excellence
- Develop individualized growth plans for junior engineers and provide thoughtful coaching and feedback for senior engineers
- Contribute to the successful delivery of key engineering initiatives, such as improving CI/CD pipelines, observability, and developer experience
- Spend approximately 30% of your time contributing to feature development and helping solve complex technical problems
- Work closely with cross-functional partners in Product, Design, Platform, and Security/Compliance to ensure seamless execution and alignment
- Guide your team through the full software development lifecycle, championing Agile methodologies and continuous improvement
Our take
As more products move to a SaaS model, businesses are dealing with an increasingly large SaaS portfolio that can be troublesome to keep track of and ensure efficiency of use. With hundreds or even thousands of apps for a multitude of purposes, a spreadsheet won’t cut it if you’re looking for useful insights. This is where Productiv has found its market niche, by creating a platform for managing a SaaS portfolio of any size.
Other similar platforms are out there, such as Zylo and BetterCloud but what makes Productiv unique is its advanced data-driven analysis offering insights into the bigger picture, to identify usage patterns, streamline SaaS services by reducing redundant apps, and providing data needed to encourage use of services amongst employees.
Productiv has the backing of several investors, and its service is already being used by big name clients such as Fox, Glassdoor, Kayak, Uber and Zoom. In 2024, the company launched Sidekick, an AI assistant for SaaS management which stands out from competing chatbots due to its domain expertise and ability to understand the "intent" of questions.
