Our take
The COVID-19 pandemic put a lot of pressure on the Swedish healthcare system, and this resulted in various temporary telehealth services emerging. However, despite these telehealth services initially existing to combat COVID-19 restrictions, they present long-term solutions to bottlenecks in the healthcare system.
Kry develops telehealth services that can be accessed from the smartphones of Swedish users, allowing them to receive on-demand medical advice, diagnoses, and health advice for children 24 hours a day. Prescription renewals, COVID-19 testing, and vaccinations can also be organized through the service, and other non-remote healthcare can be handled at a Kry health center in Sweden.
Whilst other telehealth services in Sweden aim to tackle diagnoses, therapy, and other healthcare that can be practiced digitally, Kry takes this a step further by combining the on-site services of its health centers to provide an integrated healthcare system. The service also stands out by employing medical experts across 30 different languages, providing private healthcare solutions to immigrants and non-native speakers in Sweden.
