Who you are

At least 2 years of experience as a front-end developer with React and Typescript

What the job involves

Being the face of front-end at Saltbox:
You will be building world-class product on a small engineering team
You will look for opportunities to build reusable front-end libraries to increase the speed and reliability of our team over time
You will maintain and improve our existing front-end products
You will implement and improve front-end dev ops tooling (CI, build tooling, etc)
Collaborating often and efficiently:
You will work with PM’s and other engineers to shape our product roadmap through gathering signal + brainstorming + decomposing ideas into concrete solutions
You will work with your back-end focused counterparts on API design and implementation
Shaping our engineering culture:
As one of the first engineers at Saltbox, you will be a contributor in defining how we interact with other parts of our organization, and our customers

Our take

Saltbox is tackling the rising demand for eCommerce company storage space through a network of flexible, purpose-built warehouses across the USA. With small businesses struggling to scale up due to hefty overheads and rental prices, Saltbox’s suite of on-site services, fulfilment centers, and storage space helps manage growth and demand.

Disrupting the warehouse industry with what it calls “co-warehousing”, Saltbox also helps companies with logistics problems such as equipment rental. With 12 sites across the country, 2 of which has popped up since 2022, Saltbox is addressing the most critical challenges for eCommerce entrepreneurs.

Going up against the likes of Amazon is no mean feat, and Saltbox must keep up its rapid growth to continue being a more lucrative alternative to the corporation's worldwide fulfillment centers. Amazon is often been the go-to distribution partner for small eCommerce businesses, but Saltbox stands out from larger competitors by being not only an operational vendor but a source of knowledge and consultancy partner for its clients.
