Role
Who you are
- 4+ years of hands-on experience within social media and managing platforms/ brands globally
- Full understanding of all social metrics and ability to analyse and recommend new approaches
- Ability to create different forms of content; graphic, photography, dynamic
- Excellent writing abilities and a strong, adaptable tone of voice
- Experience in scheduling tools (preferably Hootsuite), Adobe Photoshop (other Adobe Creative Tools a big plus) and Canva
- Passionate about sustainability with a desire to help engage consumers on this topic
- Exceptional knowledge and understanding of social media, as well as emergent trends
- Passionate, creative thinker and energetic presenter and storyteller
- You are hyper-organized and communicative about deadlines, project management and bandwidth
- Proven experience working in a start-up environment at a consumer goods brand A growth hacker and proven track record growing social followers and community by 100K+ in relatively short period of time

- We are looking for a social media guru to take the reins on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to create content, conversation and rapidly grow our community
- The Cheeky Panda is a fast-moving business with a dedicated pack of followers, but now is the time to turbocharge our presence and impact on social media
- Our team love bold, creative thinking that cuts through busy spaces and empowers people to implement their ideas, while rewarding them through development and progression
- We are looking for someone with a proven track record of building and engaging communities, content creation, social strategy and reporting and the planning and execution of socially led campaigns. And of course, a self-confessed social nerd who will understand the latest technologies, algorithms, platforms and build plans based on data and insights
- A passion for pandas, sustainability and being an eco-friendly Earth-lover is a big plus, too. If you can make loo roll look lovely just about anywhere, then you’re halfway there
- Define the social media and community vision and strategy to increase brand fame and love through our platforms and community channels
- Lead on social activations to come up with big, cut-through ideas for social-first campaigns that communicate who we are and help increase our reach
- Responsible for all content planning, creation, delivery, and community engagement. This is a hands-on, empowered environment where people get stuck in
- Develop ways to work with influencers, partners and other channels to increase our audience size and help drive revenue
- Find new and exciting ways to engage our community via social media channels to drive awareness, conversation and affinity
- Have fun with The Cheeky Panda social channels – get us loved and talked about even more!
- Conduct social reporting and analytics tools to ensure the strategic approach is effective
- Ensure best practices are followed on reporting and measurement to drive impact against objectives such as Retail support, ecommerce sales, & product launches
- Oversee the strategy for The Cheeky Panda’s International channels to grow presence; both in existing markets and future launch locations
- Manage budgets and tools effectively
- Significantly increase our social and community following

The Cheeky Panda is offering the tissue market a sustainable and health conscious alternative. They make tissues from virgin bamboo kun, a hybrid of the bamboo species, that are free from harsh chemicals found in regular tissues and saving thousands of trees and animal habitats around the world.
The Cheeky Panda tissues are the first in the UK to be Vegan registered. The co-founders Julie Chen and Chris Forbes are dedicated to preserving the natural environment by investing back into protecting the rain forests and being carbon balanced.
The company's success is manifested in its products which are already stocked in over 25 countries and with leading retailers such as Amazon, Ocado, Boots, Monoprix, Carrefour, Good Eggs and Rite Aid.
