Who you are
- At least 1 year in a first line support role
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity
- Familiarity with common operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Proficiency in commonly used software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), web browsers, email clients, and antivirus software
- Basic understanding of networking concepts
- Familiarity with basic IT security principles, including password management, data backup procedures, and awareness of common security threats and best practices
- Experience with remote support tools and protocols to assist users remotely and troubleshoot their technical issues
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work well in a team

- Petlab Co is looking for a proactive and organised First Line Support Analyst to support our IT Manager in our Central London Office

- Working with end-users to tackle hardware and software issues, troubleshooting problems, and providing technical support either in person, over the phone, or via email
- Collaborating with team members on IT projects and tasks
- Continuously learn and develop skills to contribute to the IT team's overall performance, with a focus on understanding business logic and technical solutions
- Assisting with basic network troubleshooting, such as checking network connectivity, assisting with network printer setup, and assisting with basic network configurations
- Assisting in implementing and maintaining security measures, including user awareness training, antivirus protection, data backup, and disaster recovery procedures. Following security protocols and ensuring compliance with IT policies
- Assisting with inventory management of IT equipment, including tracking and maintaining accurate records of hardware, software licenses, and peripherals. Assisting with equipment procurement and disposal processes
- Creating and managing user accounts, access rights, and permissions for various systems and applications. Assisting users with password resets, account activations, and access related inquiries
- Assisting with routine maintenance tasks such as system updates, patches, and antivirus software updates. Monitoring system performance and identifying potential issues or bottlenecks
- Assisting in the setup, installation, and configuration of computer hardware, operating systems, software applications, and peripherals
- This may involve imaging and deploying computers, installing software updates, and ensuring proper connectivity
