Role
Who you are
- You hold a master in Business, Law or equivalent in experience
- You have a 2 to 4 years professional experience as a Compliance Officer in the Financial, Tech or Insurance industry (any experience in insurance intermediation is a plus)
- Having data privacy knowledge is an asset
- You are fluent in English and any other (EU) language is an asset
- You are dynamic, curious and have the willingness to learn You are a team player
- You have good communication skills
- You combine your compliance and risk management skills with a business-oriented and practical attitude
- You are reliable in meeting target deadlines and able to prioritise efficiently
What the job involves
- Act as a trusted business partner, providing advice and support to the management and operational departments to ensure proper application of regulations, standards and codes
- Define and maintain Qover’s compliance framework and related policies (POG, Consumer Duty, Sanctions …)
- Monitor compliance and assessing the appropriateness and effectiveness of measures and procedures put in place to control compliance
- Identify and assess the risks inherent to our activities
- Assisting Qover’s Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure compliance with the GDPR and other applicable data protection regulations Identifying and organising mandatory trainings for our employees in the areas of compliance
- Monitoring and interpreting (new) laws and regulations relating to the areas of compliance Definition and development of compliance framework:
- Identify the applicable obligations of Qover as an insurance intermediary, support the drafting and implementation of procedures, systems and controls within the organisation
- Develop and define the compliance objectives within the yearly Compliance Business plan
- Support the organisation with the due diligence of partners and the audits of supervisory authorities and risk-carriers Advisory and support tasks:
- Together with the legal team, advise the Management and operational departments on the application of the regulations and standards under its responsibility, and report on developments in this area
- Act as a contact point for Qover’s employees in the context of compliance-related areas of activity
- Participate in the development, review and update of Qover’s policies, recommend changes in the spirit of continuous improvement of our internal processes
- Participate in the risk assessment of new programs, products and services/markets as well as organisational changes of the company, define adequate mitigating actions with the relevant departments
- Assess compliance with the applicable regulations and processes. Report to Management problems, deficiencies and/or breaches and incidents Privacy and Security:
- Assist the company’s DPO in the deployment of the Privacy/Data Protection compliance program ensuring that the personal data of our customers, partners and employees are well protected
- Work together with Qover Chief Security Officer in maintaining Qover’s certifications, ensuring adequate security of our information systems and creating the right awareness around privacy, security, confidentiality, integrity throughout the whole companyThe profile
