The current educational system was designed during the industrial revolution in order to train factory workers at scale. Oneday, along with many others, believes this educational model has started becoming obsolete over the last 20 years. It believes theory-based education via lectures has failed to prepare future professionals in several industries. Oneday aims to address this problem by designing a peer-to-peer education system where professionals train the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Originally founded as Dorm, the startup's first product was an education platform for influencers, entrepreneurs, and creators in the passion economy, where individuals can earn income through self-expression on social-media channels such as Instagram, Youtube, and Tiktok. However, the company has now pivoted into a focus on entrepreneurship and startup businesses.
The current platform provides its students with mentorship, through an extensive professional network, on how to launch their startups and even promises support in execution, operations, and fundraising. Oneday's end goal is to help launch and fund 1 million new businesses by 2025. This goal is well on its way off the back of the company's $6 million Series A funding awarded in 2023, which will aid Oneday's launch of a new MBA programme.
