Role
Who you are
- We’re looking for someone with at least 4 years experience as an Account Executive, managing the full sales cycle and will be able to come in and hit the ground running. We want to speak to senior candidates as well, so please apply even if you have much more experience!
- You have a proven track record of success with getting deals over the line
- You have experience with both outbound and inbound sales, and closing multiple opportunities in a month
- You’re comfortable operating in a small team, and are able to adapt, be flexible and collaborate - even when the processes aren’t 100%
- You’ve used networking tools such as LinkedIn and SalesLoft to research accounts, identifying key contacts and building targeted messaging
- You don't need to have experience in the world of job search, but you do need to be energised by our mission to make the job search less soul-crushing
What the job involves
- Almost all our sales have come inbound, which means we have lots of outbound opportunities to go after - that’s where you come in!
- We’re looking for someone to seamlessly manage the full sales-cycle, from prospecting to pipeline management to closing great deals
- We're a relatively small Sales team, where you'll work closely with Fin (VP Commercial) and Steph (Sales Lead) to drive behavioural change amongst companies and help solve some of the biggest problems that make job search so frustrating today
- You’ll immerse yourself in the systemic problems that exist within recruitment, and how Otta can solve them to deliver value to companies hiring
- You’ll test and iterate on ideas to flush out a high quality pipeline, and improve the efficiency of the Sales team - while ensuring we anticipate, manage and influence companies that aren’t ready to commit
- You’ll collaborate across with CS, Marketing and Product to identify new opportunities that drive company growth, and make an impact across the UK and beyond
Application process
- Exploratory call with Fin (VP Commercial), to discuss motivations for working at Otta, and go through initial questions you have about the role (25 mins)
- As part of our interview process, we don't ask you to do a take-home task because it can disadvantage people who don’t have time for extra work. Instead, we’ll ask you to run through a mock sales call with Steph (Sales Lead) to test key sales skills (60 mins)
- Team interview with Fin & Steph to discuss your experiences, approach to certain scenarios and working style (45 mins)
- Final interview with Theo (COO and Co-Founder), to discuss what you might bring to the role, how you might embody our values, and any final questions from you (45 minutes)
