Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience directly managing paid social campaigns on the client-side (preferred) or at a performance marketing agency
- Track record of growth through a solid understanding of paid social and all performance marketing metrics (CPM, engagement rate, CPA, CPC & LTV)
- Strong quantitative & analytical skills; able to use data to optimize day-to-day performance and have experience with incrementality testing
- Must be proficient at Excel for performance analysis (pivot tables, formula building, etc)
- Knowledge of Meta bidding, targeting, optimization, as well as web & app tracking (pixel) setup and troubleshooting
- Experience working with performance marketing metrics and platform reporting
- Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills. Able to use data to optimize day-to-day performance
- Strong communication and presenting skills with an eye for creative performance (extremely important)
- Strong organizational skills and project management ability
- Mobile App marketing and programmatic experience a HUGE plus
What the job involves
- Mixbook is seeking an experienced, strategic and highly collaborative Senior Paid Social Manager to scale our existing and identify new paid social media channels
- As the Paid Senior Social Manager for Mixbook you will report into the VP of Growth Marketing and play an instrumental role in developing the Paid Social strategy as well as owning the execution/implementation of the campaigns
- You will be responsible for building and scaling cost-effective customer acquisition campaigns across all major paid social channels and will be using analytics to inform decisions and optimize a significant marketing budget against company goals
- Plan, design, and execute paid social (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, etc) campaigns from execution to completion (audience segmentation, optimization goals, creative strategy/direction, measurement, etc)
- Use a data-first approach to analyze performance drivers to optimize for channel ROI
- Be responsible for all campaign trafficking, quality control, campaign launch, reporting, and analysis. This is a hands-on role building & optimizing campaigns. Report on campaign KPIs to key stakeholders
- Optimize campaign performance towards activation, retention, and reactivation goals
- Partner with internal teams to optimize campaign performance, product mix and customer journey; e.g. Creative, Data, CRM, etc
- Manage the creative strategy across platforms and ensure they are relevant and driving efficiencies and scale
- Develop relationships with key paid social partners to nurture performance growth. Manage external partners/contractors to maximize performance and ensure deadlines are met

The market is a fairly crowded one, with long-standing competitors like Shutterfly being joined by startups like Popsa and Sokbook. But it remains a lucrative one: reports suggest that the rise of digital photography is accompanied by a greater value being placed on creating physical records of these images. Whilst Mixbook is sticking to a fairly traditional selection of products, the company is enriching its offerings through celebrity collaborations and MIxbook Movies - an engaging video format for its photography offering. This is drilling deeper into event-specific categories like birth announcements and wedding photography.
This steadfast approach to more traditional products has likely protected Mixbook from any fluctuations in the way images are stored and shared online. This will put the company in good stead to take a dependable slice of the growing personalised gifts market, which is expected to approach $40 billion by 2027.
