- Progressive experience in accounting, with exposure to fast-paced tech, fintech, or blockchain companies preferred
- Experience with financial reporting, audits, internal controls, and process automation
- Familiarity with crypto accounting, digital asset reconciliation, and blockchain transactions is a plus
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting standards
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems is a plus
- CPA or equivalent preferred but not required—what matters is your ability to execute

- This role is not just about accounting—it’s about shaping the financial infrastructure of the future, working with crypto assets, virtual economies, and cutting-edge digital transactions
- This is a high-impact role with broad exposure across finance, blockchain operations, and digital assets
- You will work directly with cross-functional teams—including Finance, Operations, Legal, and Product—to optimize financial processes in a rapidly evolving industry
- Financial Operations & Reporting -- Own key aspects of the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Implement and enhance financial policies, controls, and automation to drive efficiency and scalability
- Provide real-time financial insights and analytics to leadership for strategic decision-making
- Blockchain & Digital Asset Accounting -- Manage financial operations for virtual goods and digital transactions, ensuring accurate accounting treatment
- Partner with internal teams to refine best practices for tracking, custody, and valuation of digital assets
- Stay ahead of emerging regulations and blockchain finance innovations, helping to define industry-leading accounting standards
- Strategic Budgeting & Forecasting -- Collaborate with department leaders to develop, manage, and analyze budgets for both fiat and digital assets
- Provide variance analysis and real-time forecasting insights to support data-driven financial decisions
- Payroll & Compensation -- Process semi-monthly and off-cycle payroll for US and Canadian employees
- Ensure accurate tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions
Our take
Dapper Labs is a leader in the digital collectables space, best known for NBA Top Shot, a platform where fans can own and trade licensed basketball highlights as NFTs. By combining blockchain technology with fan engagement, Dapper Labs has transformed digital collecting.
The company recently faced a lawsuit claiming its NFTs were unregistered securities, leading to a nearly three-year legal battle. Dapper Labs reached a $4M settlement and agreed to implement compliance measures like employee training and faster payment processes. Despite the challenges, CEO Roham Gharegozlou views the settlement as a step toward regulatory clarity, ensuring continued innovation.
Despite this, the company is set to launch Disney Pinnacle, a digital pin-collecting platform featuring characters from Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars.
