Demonstrated experience of application-based security
Experienced at presenting/communicating/consulting with C level executives and senior management regarding all facets of application information security
Ability to perform assessments, identify security threats and vulnerabilities across the enterprise, implement controls, and provide respective reports
Current CISSP, NIST are strongly preferred

What the job involves

The Business Information Security Officer (BISO) (App Sec) performs a critical role in the maintenance and implementation of security within RX Global
A senior role reporting directly to the CISO, with a dotted line to the SRCO (Senior Risk and Compliance Officer), the BISO is a driver of the security culture and security maturity improvement in the RX corporate application development teams
Works cross-functionally to formulate clear recommendations, support governance strategies, and influence Business, Risk and Technology stakeholders at all levels. Acts as the liaison between business, development teams, and security, integrating application security tools and processes in pipeline
Performs assessments to identify security threats and vulnerabilities in applications and systems across the enterprise, particularly through threat modelling, vulnerability assessment, and threat analysis
Implements controls and provides reporting and analysis to appropriate teams
Ensures security policies are adhered to and incorporated into development teams’ processes
Ensures Cyber Security’s alignment to business goals and engagement with senior RX Global stakeholders, communicating their information security risk posture, and appropriately challenging business lines when risk appetites are breached
Partners with the CISO to inform them of the needs and requirements of the designated business line and helps ensure the Cyber Strategy addresses those needs
Leverages competencies from the CISO key functional areas (Risk & Compliance Management, Security Culture and Security Operations)
Accountable for operational areas, owners of risk and suppliers to deliver against the Cyber Strategy and requirements
Provide reports enabling RX Global business lines to meet their internal and statutory reporting requirements and assist the business in understanding its overall risk exposure
