Role
Who you are
- Bring the experience and hard lessons from building, owning and operating highly used web applications as a senior engineer on another team
- Write and review code with a level of care and quality that sets a standard for the rest of the team
- Bring a strong design and UX sensibility
- Have a deep fluency in javascript/typescript and React
- Have the leadership and communication skills to drive cross-cutting technical projects alongside colleagues inside and outside the engineering team
- Approach your work with an ownership attitude

- Have exposure to the secondary languages we use in our stack (Ruby)
- Bring backend development expertise
- Have prior experience in ecommerce
What the job involves
- Improving our onboarding flow and first-time user experience based on merchant feedback
- Taking merchants (our clients) from “To launch a really on-brand loyalty program, I need my development agency’s help” to “I can do that myself with just the LoyaltyLion management app in 15 minutes”
- Refining the UX of our management app to make core user journeys -- like defining your loyalty program’s rules and rewards -- easier to do
